Two friends, two very different sleep schedules.
Rouza started with a simple, annoying problem: our sleep and wake times never lined up with the people we shared a bed with. Alarms going off at the wrong hour, phones buzzing too early, one of us wide awake while the other was trying to sleep — small things, but they added up, night after night.
Between long workdays and a schedule that's rarely the same two nights running, we're both on screens later than we'd like to admit. That's part of why Rouza Glow became a nightly habit for us before it was ever a product — putting them on became our cue to start winding down, protecting our eyes and giving our brains a real signal that it's time to sleep, screens or not.
We looked for products that would let us wake up and wind down without disturbing anyone else. When we couldn't find ones we actually liked, we built them ourselves.
Rouza launched in 2026 — and it didn't take long to realize we weren't the only two people dealing with this. Mismatched sleep schedules and screen-heavy evenings turned out to be problems almost everyone has and almost nobody talks about.
We're still a small team — just the two of us, doing our best to get the details right. No warehouse full of everything, no trying to be all things to all people. Just a handful of products we use ourselves every night, made properly.
